What information do we collect?
We collect the information you provide when you register TOBY and add children to your TOBY account.
We also collect detailed information about your child’s sessions on TOBY when you press the Upload button. This information includes which activities and games are attempted and the outcomes, down to the resolution of individual trials. This data is kept as a convenience for you, should you need to reinstall TOBY or install it on a new device. This data may also be shared by you with your child’s therapist(s).
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
TOBY’s ongoing development has a vital research component. As such, information uploaded voluntarily by you (see above, “What information do we collect?”) may be published in international research forums, including journal papers and conference proceedings. All data thus published will be suitably anonymized such that no individual may be directly or indirectly identifiable.
